Songs of Siren Debuts SS26 Collection at NYFW
Luckily, the newly-founded women's wear brand, Songs of Siren, made getting off the train at the dreaded, crowded, 42nd Street stop worth it. Upon skirting past tourists to get into the W Hotel and taking the elevator upstairs, I was transported into a 90s corporate office, sparkling with models in the latest Songs of Siren garments –– definitely working overtime.
Under the creative direction of Indiana Roma Vos and set design by Liana Kornitze, models played, pondered, and put in their timesheets in this “Devil Wears Prada” inspired presentation. To bring the vision to life, Kornitze sourced Gaetano Pesce’s iconic designer furniture, lending the environment a heightened sense of allure and visual interest. From pencils styled in their slicked-back hair buns to the classic, sexy office siren glasses, if you wanted to work in fashion in the early 2000s, this is probably what you were envisioning.
Models moved from desk to desk, pouring glass beads from a coffee pot, and posing with one another wearing pieces from the second Songs of Siren collection designed by Tinka Weener. Following Weener’s Greek mythological influences, the garments displayed scorpion, sun, and star motifs — with intricate beading blending the brand’s mystical influences into couture craftsmanship.
“I wanted to stay true to the original brand DNA with high-quality fabric, but I also wanted to expand the collection with new items, like the silk trenchcoat,” Weener said. “Some of the pieces are reimagined, like the scorpion dress is one we had originally, but now Scorpio season is coming up so it was the perfect time to launch it.”
The presentation showcased nine looks from the newest collection entitled, “Siren Call” which is slated to include the brand’s iconic mini dresses, as well as a full length gown, three-piece skirt set, under-bust cut outs, and beaded-fringe embellishments. Alongside new garments in the collection came five new pyramid purses, made of cow nappa leather and some including beaded fringe.
“One of our best sellers last season was the Eternal Sunshine red dress, so I decided to make that as well as a leather bag, so it’s an entire matching outfit,” Weener said.
With silk trenchcoats slinked over desk chairs, a personal favorite ensemble was the pastel pink to purple mini dress, with a striking sunshine in the center and purple waves across the bottom of the dress, all of course illustrated through detailing hand-beading.
“Some of the pieces I just get inspired by thinking, ‘What do I want to wear?’ or “What would I feel sexy in?” At the end of the day, I just make pieces I want to wear, I am my own target market,” Weener said.
DOORS NYC, a fashion retail platform and PR showroom, co-hosted the event with Songs of Siren, curating a pop-up of various clothing, shoe, accessories, and jewelry designers in the coinciding space.
Tinka, much like her brand, is a bold femme fatale in spirit, yet soft, glamorous, and feminine in her personal style codes. Last time we spoke with Tinka, she teased wanting to start designing tights and more accessories –– low and behold, in the DOORS goodie bags, Songs of Siren gifted beaded bracelets and bedazzled fishnet tights.
“This season, the siren matures with a fresh vision and an expanded palette,” Weener said. “The collection introduces new designs while staying true to our DNA of high-quality beading, slow fashion craftsmanship, mystical influences, and premium fabrics. Highlights include luxurious silk trench coats, zodiac and nature-inspired corset sets, and reimagined versions of our best-sellers. Blending soft femininity with bold femme fatale energy, the line plays with a mix of delicate pastels and striking jewel tones for a collection that feels both timeless and modern.”
The creative minds behind the brand, its campaign shoots, and activations like this one ––the juxtaposing office scenes within a bar party scene, the mundanity of the corporate world against mythological-inspired, beaded sparkling dresses––is what truly brings the mystique to Songs of Siren. According to the brand, the new collection will be available September 2025 on their website and select luxury retailers across the world.
